Ground-breaking ceremony for the VS-Schwenningen construction project

On March 27, 2025, the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony for a new residential construction project took place on Leonberger Strasse in VS-Schwenningen. In the presence of Lord Mayor Jürgen Roth, Managing Director of Werner Wohnbau Alexander Werner and other key project participants, the first step was taken towards a sustainable and modern residential landscape. The Werner Wohnbau team, consisting of project developer Markus Hirt, construction manager Stephan Fritschi and project consultant Uwe Jennessen, were also on hand to celebrate the start of the ambitious construction project. The event was supported by a dedicated press team and civil engineering and road construction team Müller Team Bau GmbH.

The planned residential area comprises several family-friendly terraced houses, which are being built adjacent to a newly developed building area. At 135 m², each house offers generous living space and high-quality fittings that leave nothing to be desired. Particularly noteworthy is the energy-efficient heating concept, which will not only provide future residents with comfort, but also a sustainable lifestyle.

Sustainability in detail:

The construction project takes a holistic approach to energy efficiency and sustainability. The houses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to minimize energy consumption and reduce CO₂ emissions at the same time:

  • Photovoltaic system with battery storage: Each house has its own photovoltaic system that collects solar energy and is used for self-supply. The integrated battery storage system stores surplus energy and makes it available when needed.
  • Thermal insulation: Modern thermal insulation keeps the interior temperature comfortable all year round while reducing energy consumption.
  • Fossil-free energy sources: Dispensing with fossil fuels in favor of renewable energies is a key component of the environmentally friendly construction concept.
  • Ice storage technology with heat pump: Innovative ice storage technology uses the natural cold of the ice to generate heat efficiently, which significantly reduces energy costs.
  • Underfloor heating: The underfloor heating integrated in all rooms ensures even and comfortable warmth and is particularly energy-efficient.

The houses will also have small gardens, providing residents with additional leisure space. The location on the outskirts of VS-Schwenningen guarantees a center of life close to nature and at the same time good connections to both Schwenningen and Villingen.

Funding opportunities for future owners:

Another advantage for interested buyers is the federal government’s funding opportunities. These specifically support energy-efficient construction and offer future owners financial incentives to invest in a sustainable future. This means that homeowners not only benefit from a modern, environmentally friendly home, but also from state subsidies.

The start of construction in Leonberger Strasse marks another important chapter in the sustainable urban development of VS-Schwenningen. The project sets new standards in terms of energy efficiency and environmentally friendly living – a step towards a green future.
