Saving lives together: Werner Wohnbau donates defibrillator for the region
With a targeted donation to the “Region der Lebensretter e.V.” initiative, Werner Wohnbau GmbH & Co. KG has made it possible to purchase a new automated external defibrillator (AED). The life-saving device has now been installed in a clearly visible location at the entrance to our company parking lot at Johann-Liesenberger-Straße 11/1 – and is now freely accessible to all citizens in the event of an emergency.
The AED is conspicuously marked in green and can therefore be quickly recognized from a distance – a decisive advantage when every second counts in an emergency.
The initiative for this measure arose from the desire to actively strengthen the first aid infrastructure in our region. Together with our safety officer Marian Nann, our managing directors Michael and Alexander Werner got the project off the ground and continue to support it.
Our aim is clear: to provide fast, uncomplicated help – directly on site and accessible to everyone. The defibrillator can be easily removed in an emergency and returned after use. The “Region der Lebensretter e.V.” association reliably takes care of maintenance and technical readiness for use – with continued support from us at Werner Wohnbau. “The solution: a system that saves lives!” – with this clear claim, the initiative underlines the importance of a nationwide AED network.
Another milestone in our commitment took place on Friday, May 16, 2025: A practical training course for first aiders and volunteers from Werner Wohnbau. Under the direction of Dr. Johannes Kohler, former senior physician at Schwarzwald-Baar Klinikum and ambassador for the initiative, the participants gained important knowledge and confidence in dealing with emergencies – another contribution to greater protection and responsibility in everyday life.
By financing and installing the AED, we want to send out a clear signal of social commitment and responsibility – and actively contribute to further expanding the regional network for rapid assistance in an emergency.
